This exact copy of the 1740 Ysaÿe Guarneri violin was individually hand carved in Scott Cao’s workshop in Guangzhau, China, where it was meticulously crafted to produce a powerful and refined tone. The back of the violin was carefully built out of seven year aged Chinese Maple and features European spruce wood for the top of the instrument. The violin's fingerboard is made out of Indian Ebony with Hill Style Ebony fittings. The violin was then finished with high quality, hand applied Italian oil to give the instrument a beautiful, unique antique varnish. This violin comes with a certificate of authenticity from Scott Cao Violins.
