Description

The Alvarez AEB70ce Armrest Shadowburst brings Artist Elite build quality to a full-scale acoustic-electric bass, pairing a solid Sitka spruce top with rosewood back and sides for a low end with real depth and definition. It's built for the bassist who wants an acoustic stage instrument that still holds its own next to a full band, not a novelty tabletop bass.

FST2 bracing keeps the spruce top responsive enough to project without folding under the tension of bass strings, so notes stay articulate instead of turning into an unfocused rumble. The ebony bevel armrest is a genuinely practical touch on an instrument this size, keeping the forearm comfortable through a full set instead of digging into the sharp edge most acoustic basses leave exposed.

A bi-level Indian rosewood bridge and MOP-and-acrylic inlays dress the ebony fingerboard, and an LR Baggs StagePro Bronze system with onboard volume, bass, treble, phase switch, and tuner makes it plug-and-play for a stage or studio session. It ships strung with D'Addario bass strings built for the acoustic format. For a bassist who wants a genuine acoustic voice with the low end to back a full band, the AEB70ce delivers it.
