Description
The Eastman PCH2-TG-BK is a travel-size guitar with a solid thermo-cured Sitka spruce top and laminated rosewood back and sides, finished in black. The body is 15 inches across and the scale length is 23.5 inches.
The 23.5 inch scale shortens the reach between frets and lowers string tension compared with a full-size guitar. The okoume neck has a Traditional Even C profile, a 12 inch radius rosewood fingerboard, 20 frets and a 1.68 inch bone nut. Eastman thermo-cures the spruce top, a heat treatment that gives the wood a broken-in character. It comes with D'Addario XS coated strings and a padded Eastman gig bag.
It suits a player who wants a solid-top guitar for travel, or a smaller guitar to keep within reach at home. Players who want a full-size scale length will want the PCH2-OM or PCH2-D, and this model has no pickup.
