Bonding with a new instrument takes time, it's like dating without the awkward Q&A. You need the chance to play it in different environments, time for the instrument to open up. You need to introduce it to friends and family and watch how it does in a group, and then later get their honest opinions. You'll want time to compare it to others you have around, or have experienced in the past, which is why we offer a One Year return guarantee for a full account credit towards your next purchase if it's not "the one," or one of "the ones."

Full Details:

If within One Year of your purchase you are not ready to commit to that long term relationship with your new instrument, we will credit your account for 90% of your purchase price (minus shipping charges) if it is returned in like-new condition.

Like New / Mint : 90% -Shipping Charges
As it sounds, the instrument and case are as they were the day you received them. No nicks, scratches or cracks in the finish or instrument.

Excellent Condition: 75% -Shipping Charges
Very clean, close to new. You should be proud of how well you've taken care of your instrument, while still putting it to use. We might see minor scratches, (4 or fewer) small nicks or dings, and minor cosmetic imperfections.

Good: 20-50% Return value based on evaluation -Shipping Charges
This was a player's instrument and it shows. There may be some moderate repair and maintenance required for us to re-sell this instrument. Light Fret-wear, Finish Checking / Cracking, (3 or less) major dings or scratches, player wear, buckle rash.

Poor: Not Returnable
Broken, non-playable condition items can not be returned. These items would cost more to restore than they could sell for, which is why we can't accept them in trade. That must have been some kind of tour or you have a lot of kids...
